Chats are not something to worry about.
Before you chat in, read the information about what the sales plan for the day is, make sure you know more or less what is in your theme guide and think about what you would like to demo and add on at the register.
For demos, I usually try to find something that is new that I really like. For add ons, I usually try to find something that is $5 or less that is on promotion. When we have $1 trial sizes of new fragrances, that is usually what I choose.
If you don't know, don't worry...that's why we have chats. Their purpose is to make sure you know what you're doing, what the promotions are, before you step out on the sales floor.
During chat outs, if your CSL actually bothers to do them, she will probably just ask you what your strengths were during your shift, places you could improve, that sort of thing.
