When getting a medical settelement, does anyone know how this works?

Do you pay all Dr.office appointments, and any or all medicines and any surgreys if needed or if you have a health insurance do you continue just paying co-pay ?Will the settlement affect your disability check? When getting a medical settelement, does anyone know how this works?
You have not provided enough information and it is different in different states and also the terms of the settlement , but expect the medical insurance company to recover all they have paid out for you care. You need to get some expert advice from an attorneyWhen getting a medical settelement, does anyone know how this works?
Assuming you're talking about workers comp here . . . the settlement is for all future medical costs. Surgeries, office appointments, prescriptions, therapy, EVERYTHING. Your health insurer then is able to go after you for reimbursement of anything you got paid by someone else - you can't ';double dip';, which means, have the same medical bills paid by two different insurance companies.

The settlement doesn't affect your disability payments - as long as the settlement is purely medical costs.
One thing that has not been mentioned, the work comp settlement only relates to treatment for the work related injury or condition. Your other insurance should cover everything else....
