I need a home remidie for getting rid of fleas i heard that borox works is this true?

NO you will burn their skin off. The only thing that works is to clean the area and then use either Frontline or Advantix!

There is no home remedy for fleas that works so you need to get some spot on flea meds to get ride of the fleas.I need a home remidie for getting rid of fleas i heard that borox works is this true?
Try washing dogs with dawn dishwashing liquid. Start washing the head first so the fleas don't run to the head and gather around the eyes to avoid the soap. Do not soap the face of your dog. You can soap the underneath of the mouth and the top of the head. And be very careful to hold the dogs head up so the soapy water will not run into the dogs eyes. Lather up the dog really good fleas may be hopping off so try to do this outside. Shower your self as soon as your done. You may have to wash the dog twice to remove all the fleas. Cats I simply use shampoo. It takes two people to wash a cat one to hold the cat still and avoid the water running in the cats eyes, and the other to lather up the cat. I would encourage you to treat the yard with granules to kill the fleas. every three months works well. Adams makes a nice smelling product that you can pray on the dog and on its bedding. Most lawn and garden or landscaping stores and farmers supply stores have Adams. The products you put on the back of the dogs neck you get from the vet work great too.I need a home remidie for getting rid of fleas i heard that borox works is this true?
I have sprinkled Borax on my carpets ... yes, the very same thing that goes into your washer. Just sprinkled on the carpet, brushed it in with a broom, let it sit for the day, then I thoroughly vaccuumed the floors. I kept the pets/kids off the carpet during that time. I never had a big flea problem, but it seemed to help some, and a friend who shows and has quite a few dogs swears by it. It's a better alternative than spraying pesticides, IMO.

Don't use it directly on your pet!
I believe cedar chips in their bed helps, it seemed to help mine so much
The safest and cheapest method of getting rid of fleas is to use a mixture of boric acid and salt. The powder should be sprayed on carpets, bedding and areas frequented by pets. More information on getting rid of fleas is available at http://pests.in/fleas.html
just get front line and be done w/ it. forget the home remedys. I tried them all
