Christ teaches that God works through our weaknesses, not our strengths. How does this work?

Perhaps a story to illustrate the point?





Consider Gideon going up against the Midianite army. Here they are, more than you can count (I know, not a big number for some of you) and God tells him to cull his army down to 300 men. The point of this, though, is to show that God is the one who defeated the Midianites, not Gideon.





By taking something weak, and doing it anyway, God shows He is the one doing it, not the person He chose to bring the message.Christ teaches that God works through our weaknesses, not our strengths. How does this work?
it only works if u want it to, if u believe it does...


though if u look at religion in general, the modern popular ones at least, god ends up getting all the ';credit'; for all of your tireless labor...why is it that you cant do that miraculous act for yourself?? personally i think that you can make your weaknesses become your strengths, but you have to make it a point to work on it so it can become that way...but thats just me =)Christ teaches that God works through our weaknesses, not our strengths. i was thinking lately, even my prayers to God are stinky. I'm stinky. However, i dont beat myself for it. God doesnt want me to, i dont think, and its a waste of energy. That i pray though is good. It doesnt make me a good girl when i pray it makes me a happier safer more sound girl.





When i am weak and can admit it, i have strength, because then i can go to the soultion. Jesus, his teachings, Gods Grace, and my descons to be safe and happy or ... i can choose death. This is not a one time choice, and then you live politically correct ever after. If you choose the fire insurance plan i say, its just a lifetime of running away from God, being confused, self righteous martyistic, in denial, in bondage whatever your self absorbtion looks like, and then you face the hideous consequencesand eventually run back to God. When you choose to have a realtionship with God, by way of talking and listening, the steps you take away from God, are fewer and the jaunt back to life is shorter. Hope this helps



Perhaps because you know that you can't produce something great in an area you are weak in, that if you do then the glory can be attributed to God.
So that all glory can go to Him, He works through our weaknesses so that it is clear it is God moving and doing something so that we later don't go brag about it like we didn't need God.
